A place for your family

Getting comfortable comes first.

A new room and an unfamiliar appointment can feel like a lot to a child. Our pediatric space has a colorful animal mural and a small play area to make the surroundings feel more familiar. There is time to settle in while you talk with Dr. Glenn.

You know your child’s daily routines. A change in the way they move, a recurring complaint after school or a question about their comfort can all help start the conversation. We want to understand what you’re noticing and what matters most to your family.

The goal is to help your child move comfortably in everyday life. Dr. Glenn starts with an assessment suited to a growing child, then explains any recommended adjustments with attention to their age and health history.

Ages and stages

Growing up brings new questions.

The conversation changes as children grow. These are some of the topics you can discuss when asking about a pediatric visit.

Babies

Early questions may involve a preferred head position or comfort while being held. Share your baby’s birth history and any concerns already discussed with their pediatrician so Dr. Glenn has the background for a conversation about next steps.

Toddlers and preschoolers

As little ones become more active, parents may notice a change in movement or signs of discomfort during play. Describe when it happens and whether it changes the activities your child usually enjoys.

School-age children

School days bring longer stretches of sitting, along with backpacks and new activities. Recurring neck or back complaints and questions about posture are useful starting points for an individual evaluation.

Teenagers

A teenager may have their own questions about discomfort during sports or time spent studying. Giving them room to describe what they feel helps shape the discussion about an evaluation and any recommended care.

About pediatric chiropractic care

What is pediatric chiropractic care?

Pediatric chiropractic involves evaluating a child’s spine and movement, along with the concerns that brought the family in. At Premier, the visit begins with your child’s health history and an examination. Dr. Glenn then discusses whether chiropractic care has a role in their care.

How is a child’s appointment different from an adult’s?

A growing child’s appointment takes their age, size and ability to communicate into account. The examination and any recommended techniques are adapted to the individual child. Dr. Glenn explains the approach with you before treatment.

What ages does Dr. Glenn see?

Dr. Glenn cares for patients of all ages, from newborns through older adulthood, and also provides chiropractic care during pregnancy. His approach is tailored to each patient’s age and individual needs.

Comfort and everyday concerns

What should my child expect during an adjustment?

The specific approach depends on the examination and the care being recommended. Ask Dr. Glenn to describe what your child may feel and explain the benefits and risks. Let him know if your child is nervous or uncomfortable so those concerns can be addressed before continuing.

Can I ask about sleep, feeding or digestion?

Yes. These are useful parts of your child’s health history, especially if you’ve also noticed discomfort or a change in movement. Keep your pediatrician involved so the cause of feeding, digestive or sleep concerns is evaluated. During a chiropractic consultation, discuss any related concerns about movement or musculoskeletal discomfort with Dr. Glenn.

What if my baby prefers turning their head to one side?

Tell your child’s pediatrician about a persistent head-turning preference or a change in movement. If you’re also arranging a visit with Dr. Glenn, share when you first noticed it and any previous evaluation. That background helps him discuss the appropriate next step with your family.

Can we discuss posture or discomfort during sports?

Yes. Tell Dr. Glenn where your child feels discomfort and which activities bring it on. Questions about posture, school-day routines or sports can be part of the evaluation. His recommendation will depend on the examination and your child’s individual needs.

Planning your child’s visit

What should I bring to the first appointment?

Be ready to share your child’s health history, current medicines and details of any previous evaluations. Write down the questions you want to discuss. Our new-patient page explains more about getting started at Premier.

How many visits will my child need?

Recommendations are individual. After the evaluation, ask Dr. Glenn what he recommends, how progress would be reviewed and when the plan would be reconsidered. You can discuss the proposed schedule before deciding how to proceed.

Do you accept insurance for pediatric visits?

Premier Chiropractic does not accept insurance. Call our office for current visit fees and payment information before your child’s appointment.
